1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using SaySo ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and SaySo ("we," "our," or "us").
2. Description of Service
SaySo is a task management application that allows you to:
- Create and manage task lists
- Use voice commands to interact with your tasks
- Import content from YouTube videos and web pages to create tasks
- Sync your tasks across devices
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the App.
4. User Accounts
4.1 Account Creation
To use certain features of the App, you must create an account. You may register using email and password, Apple Sign-In, or Google Sign-In.
4.2 Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
4.3 Account Accuracy
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate.
5. Acceptable Use
5.1 Permitted Use
You may use the App for personal, non-commercial task management purposes.
5.2 Prohibited Conduct
You agree NOT to:
- Use the App for any illegal purpose
- Upload or transmit harmful content, including malware or viruses
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
- Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use automated systems or bots to access the App
- Resell or redistribute the App or its services
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
5.3 Content Guidelines
When using voice commands or importing content, you agree not to process illegal or harmful content, use the App to transcribe or analyze content you don't have rights to, or submit content that infringes on intellectual property rights.
6. Voice Features
6.1 Voice Processing
The App uses Google's Gemini API to process voice commands. By using voice features, you acknowledge that your voice input is transmitted to Google's servers, audio processing is subject to Google's terms and privacy policy, and voice recognition may not be 100% accurate.
6.2 Microphone Access
Voice features require microphone access. You can revoke this permission at any time through your device settings, though this will disable voice functionality.
7. Content Import Features
7.1 YouTube Import
When importing YouTube videos, you must have the right to access the content. We extract publicly available information to create tasks. We do not download or store video content. YouTube's Terms of Service apply to video content.
7.2 Web Import
When importing web pages, you must have the right to access the content. We process publicly accessible content only. We do not store the original web content.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 Our Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, features, code, and content, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App.
8.2 Your Content
You retain ownership of any content you create within the App (task lists, tasks, etc.). By using the App, you grant us a license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the service.
8.3 Feedback
Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about the App may be used by us without obligation to you.
9. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party services including Google Gemini API (for voice processing and content analysis), Supabase (for authentication and data storage), and Apple/Google (for authentication services). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
10. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.
11. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF RESULTS.
We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, that the App is free of viruses or harmful components, that voice recognition will be accurate, or that imported content will be correctly interpreted.
We are not responsible for content imported from third-party sources (YouTube, websites). Accuracy of extracted information is not guaranteed.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, SERVICE INTERRUPTION OR DATA LOSS, OR ERRORS IN VOICE RECOGNITION OR CONTENT PROCESSING.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
THESE LIMITATIONS APPLY EVEN IF ANY REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any third-party rights, or content you submit through the App.
14. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting your account and uninstalling the App. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice.
Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. We may delete your account and data. Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect.
15. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting updated Terms in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
16. Dispute Resolution
Before filing a formal dispute, you agree to contact us and attempt to resolve the issue informally. These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive any right to participate in class actions.
17. General Provisions
These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision does not waive our right to enforce it later. You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights without restriction. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
